In The Chill Of Night by ShogunMaki In The Chill Of Night by ShogunMaki
This is a 5 minute exposure taken at night of the boat rental shack and recreation facility at Hawrelak Park, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Taken with a Nikon d300 and 50mm f/1.8 lens at f/8 and ISO 100. The lights from the recreation facility ended up being over exposed but I think that it looks ok considering the lighting of the rest of the photo.

As always your constructive comments are greatly appreciated.

I appreciate the ambiance and the colors. Maybe a to long exposure and a to small iso? What do you think? :)
I find the lightning in the house a bit to ''exposed'', but I love the lighting around the house. A really nice picture.

Yes I agree. I have been wanting to reshoot this but unfortunately the area has been fenced off for some time. Hopefully they will reopen it to the public soon.
Thank you for your kind comments. :)

This photo attracts my eyes but in the same time I feel that something's wrong... maybe you have over-edited it. That light is on a huge surface and looks like a hole in the photo. I love how tree's silhouettes hug the night sky. Overall it's a nice shot! :D

I think it's mostly because of the 5 minute long exposure. The light was way brighter than the rest of the scene and like you say it makes a hole in the middle.
Thank you! :)
